Today, February 4th is world cancer day.
I’ve shared before on this day and have lost both of my parents, an Aunt and Uncle, cousins, and a brother in law who was more like a brother and good friend.
I’ve watched my daughter fight for 2 1/2 years. She not only fought the cancer, but also the side affects from the treatment. Seizure, kidney stones, and blood clot to name a few.
I’ve watched countless other kids and families go through their own fight, some have better endings than others.
I’ve had to bury too many too close. I’ve been to way too many funerals for kids I’ve spent time with and who were my friends.
Cancer sucks and we need to make a cure a priority. A day is great, but a cure is needed and should be the number one priority.
